Remarks:This is a limited term position, funded through June 30, 2018 and eligible for benefits. Duties and Responsibilities:The Program Coordinator Electric Lineworker will serve as the primary point of contact for collaborative community initiatives operated through Ingenuity WTC and STEMulus and/or other community partners and agencies. Work with minimal supervision to develop and administer the timely and quality delivery of the Electric Lineworker program. Build relationship between CNM Ingenuity, NMRECA, and the New Mexico rural electrical cooperatives. Develop curriculum based on industry requirements for a pre-apprenticeship lineworker program.

Market and recruit to maximize enrollment and exposure. Analyze the quality of classes through multiple levels of learning outcomes assessment. Assess curriculum tools and supplies necessary for program delivery Collaborate with Business Account staff and CNM Schools to recruit, interview, recommend hiring, and orient instructors to deliver training programs.

To ensure compliance with federal and college requirements some mandatory training must be completed for this position.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Journeyman lineman certificate issued by the Department of Labor, a state agency or other formalized, recognized entity (certificate of completed apprenticeship required) and six years of directly related experience.
  • Demonstrated technical competence including proficient computer skills.
  • Class A NM CDL with good driving record (insurable) or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
  • Proficient use of computers including not limited to MS Office and data base systems
  • Knowledge of regulations that apply to electrical linework (OSHA, NESC, etc.)
  • Coordinating at a high level of detail, or in a training environment that involved delivery of lineworker training program.
  • Experience in development and/or technical training of materials design.
  • Preferences:
  • Supervisory/Managerial experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction or similar discipline.
  • Experience working with community and industry sectors.
  • Project management experience to include: managing multiple work streams and action plans, with demonstrated ability to provide timely deliverables that are in line with the organization's vision and targets. Experience creating and administering collaborative projects. Effective and persuasive verbal and written communication skills with a diverse population. Experience in conflict and problem resolution.
  • Prior experience working with adult learners.
  • One year in a training environment in the power delivery industry.
  • Certified in CPR and first aid.
  • Work Schedule:Forty hours a week generally Monday through Friday 8 - 5 although some night and weekends may be required to support the needs of the program
