Duties and Responsibilities:Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Ingenuity and supervision of Program Manager at the STEMulus or Workforce Training Center (WTC) develops and presents short courses and/or workshops, providing personal and/or professional education. Specifically performs one or more of the following under direct supervision of a Program Coordinator: Teaches short-term courses and workshops through the Ingenuity/WTC for New Mexico businesses and the general public; creates curriculum for Ingenuity/WTC departments; establishes and assesses student performance objectives; determines student grades and keeps accurate records. Mix of theoretical and practical sessions will be required to demonstrate student level of knowledge and understanding.

The successful candidate will develop and present curriculum for courses listed below.
Current FAA Mechanic's Certification with Airframe and Powerplant ratings and current FAA Designated Maintenance Examiner (DME) certification/authorization (or documentation of successful completion of FAA DME training dated within the past 6 months).
Minimum Requirements:
  • One (1) year of experience in one or more of the area(s) described above
  • One (1) year teaching or training in one or more of the area(s) described above
  • Employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining a satisfactory background check.
  • Preferences:
  • Bachelor degree in related field
  • Effective presentation and communication skills with a diverse population.
  • Ability to relate to and instruct a non-traditional diverse student population
