Duties and Responsibilities:Under the general direction of the Director of Ingenuity FUSE Makerspace and supervision of Program Manager develops and presents short courses and/or workshops, providing personal and/or professional education. Specifically performs one or more of the following: Teaches short-term courses and workshops through the Ingenuity FUSE Makerspace for New Mexico businesses and the general public; creates curriculum for Ingenuity FUSE Makerspace; establishes and assesses student performance objectives; determines student grades and keeps accurate records. Mix of theoretical and practical sessions will be required to demonstrate student level of knowledge and understanding.

The successful candidate will develop and present curriculum for the various courses listed below.
Expertise in electronic prototyping, such as soldering, building electronic components, designing circuit boards.
The successful candidate will have experience with the various equipment used in the FUSE Makerspace related to courses listed
Minimum Requirements:
  • One (1) year of experience in one or more of the area(s) described above
  • One (1) year teaching or training in one or more of the area(s) described above

    Employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining a satisfactory background check.
  • Preferences:
  • IPC certified
  • Bachelor degree in related field
  • Effective presentation and communication skills with a diverse population.
  • Ability to relate to and instruct a non-traditional diverse student population
  • Work Schedule:Varied dependent on the needs of the Makerspace
